Japan Visa
Basics
A visa is
permission to travel to and seek entry into Japan. Possession of a visa does
not guarantee entry; the final decision is made by immigration officers at the
port of entry.
All travelers must carry a valid passport and
comply with Japan's immigration requirements. Depending on nationality,
travelers may be required to obtain a visa before departure.
The permitted period of stay is determined by the immigration officer upon
arrival and is separate from the visa validity period.
