1. Visa Requirement

Switzerland is part of the Schengen Area. Participants from visa-required countries must obtain a Schengen short-stay visa (Type C) before travelling. Visa-exempt nationals may enter for permitted short stays, subject to current Swiss entry rules.

2. Passport Validity

Your passport should be issued within the last 10 years and remain valid for at least 3 months after your planned departure from the Schengen Area.

3. Length of Stay

A Schengen short-stay visa generally permits stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period.

4. Visa Requirements

Applicants may typically need:

• Recent photograph
• Travel medical insurance
• Flight itinerary
• Proof of accommodation
• Proof of sufficient funds

5. Indian Citizens

Indian passport holders generally require a Schengen visa to visit Switzerland for a conference. Applications in India are submitted through the designated Swiss visa application process/VFS Global. Apply well in advance and verify the latest requirements before travel.
