Visa Information

General Information

International participants planning to attend the Global Forum on Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Science, scheduled for November 09-10 2026, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, may be required to obtain a visa depending on their nationality. Participants are strongly advised to review the visa requirements applicable to their country well in advance of their intended travel dates.

 

1. Visa Requirements

• Spain is part of the Schengen Area. Citizens of many countries may enter Spain visa-free for short stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period.
• Participants from countries that require a visa must apply in advance for a Schengen short-stay visa (Type C) through the Spanish Embassy/Consulate or an authorized visa center.
• Spain does not issue visas on arrival.

 

2. Documents Usually Required

When applying for a Schengen visa, applicants may be asked to provide:

• A valid passport (with at least six months’ validity and blank pages)
• A completed Schengen visa application form
• Recent passport-sized photographs
• Proof of conference registration (an official invitation letter will be provided upon request)
• Travel itinerary and accommodation details
• Travel medical insurance valid for the Schengen Area

Additional documents may be required depending on nationality and visa category.

 

3. Visa Assistance

Upon request and after registration confirmation, the Organizing Committee will provide an official invitation letter to support participants in their visa application process.

• The invitation letter does not guarantee visa approval.
• It serves only as supporting documentation for the visa application.
• Participants are responsible for ensuring the timely submission of their visa applications.

All attendees are encouraged to review the latest Spanish and Schengen immigration guidelines and begin the visa process early to avoid delays.
